Resolution # 02-7
APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP
Adopted 10/30/02

The Board of Directors approved the following changes to the membership application process:

Effective November 15, 2002:

* B&Bs applying for membership in AABBI will pay a non-refundable Application Fee of $50.00 when they submit their Application for Membership.
* The request for inspection of the applicant will be assigned to an Inspector and the inspection completed within 30 days of the receipt of a complete Application for Membership.
* Dues [base fee plus per room fee] will be prorated on a monthly basis on the 15th of the month in which the Board approves the application.
For example: A new member is approved on the 15th of June. Their dues will be calculated at 7/12s of the annual dues; if approved on the 16th of June, they will pay 6/12s, i.e. Dues = $200 + 4 rooms at $10 per room multiplied by either 7/12s or 6/12s equal $140 before the 15th of June or $120 after the 16th of June.
* The Board will approve/disapprove membership within ten [10] days of notification by the inspectors of completion of the inspection. The approval process may be done by email, telephone, or at the regular Board Meeting. If the Board is ‘polled’ by either email or telephone, the Board will be notified via email of the decision immediately. The President of the Board will welcome the new member inn to AABBI.
* The Board Member in charge of Membership will remit an invoice to the approved new member for the dues payable.
* New Members will be listed on the AABBI web site within fifteen [15] days of receipt of membership dues. Notification of receipt of payment will be sent immediately to the Board Internet Chairperson. The dues check will be forwarded immediately to the Treasurer.
