In August we told you to save Wednesday, November 30 because it had been provisionally selected as the date for our 2011 Annual Meeting and Member Luncheon. Well it and the venue are now definite!
The luncheon, which will be catered and comprise an ample, tasty selection of hors d'oeuvres complemented by wines and non-alchoholic beverages, will commence at 11 AM. We opted for a relaxed and informal style of luncheon to allow and encourage attendees to greet and mix with one another, and have sufficient time in which to do so. The venue should also help, it being the poolside meeting facility at Landmark Towers, 4750 North Central Avenue, Phoenix - Chuck and Jeff’s apartment complex (See below for Directions).
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of our good friends at AzHLA this luncheon will be free of charge to our Active Members, Associate Members and honored guests. Of course we all know there is no such thing as a "free lunch", so as not to disappoint and because it is the Holiday Season, we are asking attendees to make a contribution, at the door, in whatever amount they are comfortable with (cash or a check - payable to AABBI) and the entire proceeds will then be donated on behalf of the AABBI membership to the Salvation Army of Arizona.
Following lunch, around 1:30 PM, we will be conducting the necessary and important business of our Association. Over the next few days I will communicate to you further about this part of the gathering. The meeting will conclude no later than 3 PM.
We are hoping that there will be a good turn out for this, our annual event and ask you all to please invest the little bit of time your attendance takes.

For those coming from the East, including Tucson, it's easiest to take I-10 all the way into Central Phoenix beyond 7th Street and into the tunnel, exiting IMMEDIATELY upon tunnel exit 144 onto 7th Avenue. Turn right onto 7th Avenue. Proceed beyond the signals at McDowell, Thomas and Indian School. One mile further, turn right at the signal for Camelback. Turn right at Central Avenue. You will soon cross the light rail tracks/signal. Take the immediate next right onto Pierson Street. You may parallel park anywhere on Pierson. Do not use any of the retail parking lot spaces around the building. Head for the lobby on the South side of the building.
