AABBI Welcomes New Owners of Heritage Inn
I am pleased to announce that long-time member, Osmer D. Heritage Inn in Snowflake, Arizona, was recently purchased by its new owners Craig and JoAnne Guderian. I'd like to be among the first to welcome Craig and Jo-Anne to Arizona and to our AABBI family. If you haven't been to the Heritage Inn, check it out sometime. The beautifully restored 1890's historic home hosts eleven guest rooms and is set among meticulously manicured grounds with apple, pear, and cherry trees, rose gardens, fountains, porches and patios. Snowflake is located almost halfway between Show Low and Holbrook on Highway 77. The Heritage Inn's immediate proximity to the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests offer recreational opportunities for fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. They are ideally located for day trips to the Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest or Painted Desert National Parks. Craig and Jo-Anne bought the Heritage Inn Bed & Breakfast from Dean Porter at the end of July this year. They moved to Snowflake from Las Vegas where they had been in real estate for the last 12 years. They were ready for a change, a new challenge and after searching for a while decided to purchase the Heritage Inn. They are loving the change of pace between Las Vegas and Snowflake (just a small difference), and are the loving the B&B industry. Craig had lived in Las Vegas for 45 years, prior to his real estate career he was a Baccarrat Dealer at the Tropicana Casino. Jo-Anne is originally from England and prior to moving to Las Vegas she owned and ran 2 residential care homes for mentally challenged adults. Their goal for the Heritage Inn B&B is to increase occupancy from around 25% to approx. 50%, which they feel is doable, and would welcome any advice from those of you out there who have succeeded in this way. The Heritage Inn has 12 rooms, so it has lots of room available!! Craig and Jo-Anne will also be managing the 2500 sq ft, grand ballroom that is above an antique store adjacent to the B&B, so they envision building upon the wedding business that already exists.
