Prescott features smokin'hot jazz in the cool pines at the 9th Annual Prescott Jazz Summit.  It's a "jazz party of the first order", says Mike Vax, performer and Festival Director, who brings together a group of internationaly-known jazz legends each year. 

The three-day event kicks off at noon Friday with a free concert at Historic Courthouse Plaza and continues on through the weekend with concerts Friday and Saturday nights as well as Sunday afternoon.  On Saturday afternoon, the professional musicians tutor Arizona highschool jazz band students at workshops and clinics, hoping to perpetuate the art of jazz for future generations (open to the public) .
