The Fourth Friday Art Walk is held year round. Many of the local galleries are open late in the evening and artists are on hand to discuss their creations. Live music and refreshments are also provided for visitors. Yavapai College’s Performance Center, Prescott Center for the Arts and the Elks Opera House present musical concerts, theater, ballet, choral groups and comedy from around the world for your entertainment. During the summer months, there is live music twice a week on the Courthouse Square for free! Drawing guests from many areas, the Prescott Jazz Summit and the Blue Grass Festival have been held for many years to the delight of crowds. Each December the Acker Music Festival is held on the first Friday and the streets are closed to traffic. Live entertainment is exhibited at over 100 restaurants, saloons, galleries and stores. This is truly an unique Prescott experience.
The best in Western art is displayed each Memorial Day weekend at the Phippen Museum’s juried art festival. Exhibitors display unique Western paintings, drawings, ceramics, sculptures and sketches.
