Hacienda del Desierto
Make Tucson and Hacienda del Desierto the hub of your activities for Southern Arizona. Enjoy the flavor of an old Spanish hacienda in a peaceful, secluded desert setting on 16 acres with mountain views attractive to nature lovers and romantics located near Saguaro National Park East, just minutes from restaurants and shopping, but a world away from the pressures of everyday life. This adobe home is built around a Spanish style courtyard with fountain and flowers. Hike, bird watch, pamper yourselves under the stars in one of our spas, or relax with a good book on one of our patios or porches in a garden environment. Four spacious luxury accommodations each have, private baths, private entrances, and ornate antique heating stoves for cool evening ambiance. Three have kitchenettes. Call ahead to arrange a luxurious massage.

Each accommodation is distinctively decorated, incorporating modern conveniences and comforts with antiques, Mexican folk art, and paintings.
As a result of guest feedback, the Hacienda won the 2004 Book of Lists Arrington B & B Journal award for “Best Interior Design & Décor”. There is a two-bedroom casita, two 2-room suites, and a spacious bedroom. Visit our website to see pictures and descriptions of each accommodation.

Birders, largely due to our many feeders and garden plants, have identified twenty-nine different types of birds at the Hacienda. Javalina, our wild peccaries, also visit daily. A new nature trail has just been developed for
those guests who are not avid hikers but who want to experience a desert walk. Guests are provided a booklet which identifies many of the native
Sonoran Desert plants found on the property.

Other recognition we have received:

“One of Best 23 B & B’s in Arizona” Phoenix Magazine 2003. Book of Lists winner “Inn with most Privacy”, "Best Decor", "Best Wildlife Viewing" from Arrington B & B Journal.

Day trips can be taken to Nogales, Mexico; Tombstone and Bisbee; Wine Country; Tubac; world renowned birding areas, and Kartchner Caverns. Let your hosts help you plan your time in the area.

Sites to see in the Tucson area are Biosphere II, the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, Mt. Lemmon, Sabino Canyon, San Xavier del Bac Mission, and a myriad of art galleries and Museums.
