Calendar of Events

The following Calendar of Events features activities happening across Arizona and spanning all seasons.

Events are posted by our individual member innkeepers and are the very same local events they would recommend to their guests. The result, for you, is an eclectic collection of events and activities not compiled elsewhere.

AABBI's member B&Bs are a great resource and can help plan your trip so that you may take advantage of these wonderful events. Please contact the local AABBI inn of your preference for more information.

April 5          Bird Migration Class

Join Kathe Anderson at Noftsger Hill Inn on Saturday evening, April 5 for an interactive class exploring the basics and some unusual aspects of BIRD MIGRATION. Why do birds migrate? How do they find their way? What kind of preparation do birds need before migrating? What are the hazards?

Learn some migration vocabulary; take home a handout and a small prize! During our complimentary bird walk Sunday morning in the Pinal Mountains, we'll add some migration information (where are the birds coming from and where are they headed) to some of the species we spot.

Kathe Anderson is an avid birder, leading bird walks and teaching classes for a variety of conservation organizations, as well as counting birds for several bird surveys to help real scientists with data collection. She's led hundreds of walks and taught dozens of birding-related classes for organizations such as the Gilbert Riparian Institute, Verde Valley Nature and Birding Festival, Southwest Wings Nature Festival, Mesa Community College, ASU, Arizona State Parks, The Nature Conservancy and at least five Audubon Societies. She loves sharing her passion with others!

Double occupancy rooms at Noftsger Hill Inn range from $90 - $125 plus tax, including breakfast. 20% discount for second consecutive night booking for this special event. Additional per person fee of $25 for the Saturday BIRD MIGRATION class.
