Cat Mountain LodgeCat Mountain Lodge, a Bed & Breakfast in the Desert, is nestled at the base of the Tucson Mountains on the outskirts of the city, just a few hundred feet from Tucson National Park. Our beautiful Lodge has eco-friendly features built into a vintage ranch setting, with four (4) spacious rooms that provide southwestern styling mixed with modern conveniences. Each room has a private bath and sitting area, and opens through French doors onto a central courtyard filled with native plants and a beautiful fountain. We invite you to retreat to our common room to sit and relax in front of our beehive fireplace while you enjoy a fresh cup of coffee, or browse on our computer to view the many golf courses, hiking & biking trails, museums, and historical attractions in our area. Our on-site innkeeper is always happy to assist in the planning of your daily activities. Our Lodge sits on more than 13 magnificent acres, and has plenty of free parking. Cat Mountain Lodge features green details such as Energy Star air conditioning/heating units in each room and solar powered electricity. Grey water and rain barrel harvesting is fed into the landscape’s irrigation. Our Lodge was completed in February 2010, and was built using energy efficient Mikey Block, concrete-filled 10” soundproofed Styrofoam. Just steps away, you will enjoy strolling on paths around our expansive grounds, as well shopping at Cat Mountain Station, which features a 3,800 sq. ft. antiques & collectables consignment shop, as well as local artisans’ galleries. Our location at 2720 S. Kinney Rd. is a stone’s throw from Saguaro National Park, and minutes from Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, International Wildlife Museum, and Old Tucson Studios. Nature lovers can explore the many desert hiking and biking trails that meander through the mountains and desert, or sit comfortably on our outdoor patio to marvel at local wildlife. Stargazers will be mesmerized by the captivating desert skies, and it’s just a short drive to Arizona’s Kitt Peak and the University of Arizona’s Flandrau Planetarium. Guests can simply enjoy the great retreat we offer, or there’s always plenty to do with the many attractions of the City of Tucson, neighboring Tribal Casinos, the University of Arizona campus, and many other historical attractions. |
